Chrysler 300 FatChance

Chrysler 300 is one of the most popular car in America, is also among the modifiers. No wonder, when a production sedan at the Detroit-based manufacturer is made custom to the flow of flat and if in Amerik called low rider.

Chrysler 300 which is called FatChance 2.0 superceper none other familiar names were taken from the modifier John Fortuño. This car will enliven the Annual Spring Festival LXs in California.

FatChance 2.0 300 has a prominent display on the exterior with body painted white. In addition to flat, the front of the modified model including the main light dark. Gril modified patterned lattice rather go into.

The figure of 2.0 FatChance Chrysler 300 looks more contrast combined with a combination of black and contained around the grille, mirrors, bumpers and logo lining.

All four wheels using R22 wheels wrapped in 255/30 size tires front and 295/25 rear. Unfortunately no mention, if all four legs equipped with air suspension.

Chrysler 300C 2011

The Chrysler 300C Executive Series will be distinguished by a chromed fascia, mirror, and door handle accents with a unique platinum chrome finish. The platinum chrome finish extends to the grille surround and the platinum-chrome sculpted grille. There is a Mochachino or Black Poltrona Frau "Foligno" leather-wrapped instrument panel, cluster brow, center console side panels, and upper front- and rear-door panels, which is combined with premium Nappa leather on the door armrest, bolster, and center console armrest. The less exciting technological options include power-adjustable pedals with memory, a power backlight sunshade, power-folding chromed exterior mirrors with memory, and auto-dimming and auto-tilt in Reverse.

With its latest generation 2011 Chrysler 300 sedan, Chrysler decided to launch several different variations of the car, each aimed at a very different target market. Engine options include either Chrysler’s now familiar 3.6-liter Pentastar, rated at 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, or a 5.7-liter Hemi delivering 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque.

”Exclusive features include either Mochachino or Black Poltrona Frau “Foligno” leather-wrapped instrument panel, cluster brow, center console side panels and upper front- and rear-door panels. Premium Nappa leather covers the door armrest, bolster and center console armrest”

Chrysler Aspen Hybrid

Chrysler Aspen is the addition of a hybrid model that combines Hemi V8 power with V6-like fuel efficiency. For the regular Aspen line, the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 makes more power with no fuel-economy penalty, thanks to cylinder deactivation. Fifteen-mpg-combined fuel economy. For the best fuel economy, there is the new-for-2009 Chrysler Aspen HEV hybrid. The 2009 Chrysler Aspen is available in two trim levels, Limited and Limited HEV. The Chrysler Aspen Limited HEV is 4X4 only and equipped similarly to the Limited with J Package, but adds a hybrid powertrain, 18-inch chrome-clad wheels and real-time traffic information for the navigation system.

The Aspen is available in rear-wheel drive or 4WD. Fuel economy is 14 mpg city/19 mpg highway and 15 mpg combined for models with 2WD. Four-wheel-drive Aspens with this engine have a 13/17/15 mpg rating. When properly equipped, the 4.7-liter-equipped Aspen can tow up to 5,950 pounds.

Estimated fuel economy is 19 mpg city/20 mpg highway.
Driving Impressions
If you drive prudently, the 2009 Aspen HEV can remain in electric mode at low city speeds, thus maximizing fuel economy.

With soaring gas prices many people are clamoring for more fuel efficient vehicles. One such new vehicle, the Chrysler Aspen Hybrid, manages 19/20 mpg city/highway, versus an average of 13/18 mpg for the equivalent non-hybrid Chrysler Aspen. The Chrysler Aspen Hybrid comes in one trim, the Limited. Even though the Aspen is a full sized SUV it is also a full hybrid and can operate on electric power only or a combination of both electric and gas power. The 2009 Chrysler Aspen Hybrid is a good mix of a workhorse SUV and an economical hybrid. It has the power of a V8 engine and the fuel economy of a hybrid solving the dilemma facing many consumers who need the power and versatility of a SUV's but also want the economy of a hybrid.
The Chrysler Aspen Hybrid is a hybrid engine version of the Chrysler Aspen full-size SUV. The Chrysler Aspen Hybrid is available as four-wheel drive only vehicle yet its hybrid engine is designed to improve fuel economy and reduce emissions.

The engine in the Chrysler Aspen Hybrid is a two-mode hybrid gas-electric system with an electrically continuously variable transmission. At speeds of under 30 mph, the Chrysler Aspen Hybrid can operate on electric power alone and above this speed, the gasoline engine kicks in. Fuel economy for the Chrysler Aspen Hybrid is rated at 20 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway.

Safety features for the Chrysler Aspen Hybrid include stability and traction control, head airbags for all three rows of seats as well as side curtain airbags, ventilated front and solid rear disc brakes, front fog and rear driving lights, trailer sway control, and rear door child safety locks.

Ferrari 458 Italia 2011

The stunning Ferrari 458 Italia is still fresh from its reveal, but already the slightly mental minds at Motor Authority have dreamed up the car's logical Spider extension, previewed here in these renderings. The Spider will accordingly see production as a 2011 model, giving the Prancing Horse marque time to do the voodoo necessary to cut the roof off an otherwise perfectly good Ferrari.

Keeping the weight down will be the primary mission, since the Spider will likely need some extra internal bracing to maintain sufficient rigidity, pushing it over the coupe's 3,030lb weight.
Ferrari, the noted sports car maker based in Maranello, Italy, was founded in 1928. In the late 1970s, Ferrari introduced its 308, a successor to the Dino 246—the automaker’s first high-volume sports car. The mid-engine, two-seat V-8 model was followed by the Ferrari 328, Ferrari 348, Ferrari 355 and the Ferrari 360 (one of the automaker’s best-selling models ever).

Replacing the F430 as Ferrari’s mid-engine weapon, the Ferrari 458 has a new, direct-injected, 562-hp, 4.5-liter V-8 wrapped in a handsome Italian suit.

Highs
Assaults the senses with awesomeness, easy to drive very fast, accurate steering, an F1-like V-8 that revs to 9000 rpm.

Ferrari's early cars were dominated by V12 engines. Strictly speaking, the first road-going production-V8 Ferrari was the wedge-shaped, Bertone-designed Dino GT4 of 1973.

Since then, this series of uncompromising mid-engine V8 driver's cars has dominated Maranello production. The result is a stiffer car, with much more accurate control of the wheel geometry and lateral movement. Brakes are Brembo carbon-ceramic rotors. Despite all the chassis unobtainium, this 3274-pound car is 300 pounds heavier than the outgoing 430. That means this Ferrari can run to nearly 130 mph before a Toyota Priushits 60 mph.

So never mind the current F430; this car is faster to 60 mph than a Ferrari Enzo and less than a second slower than that epochal million-dollar car to 124 mph. Yikes.

Aerodynamics play a big part in this performance equation. Even the engine bay is vented with high-pressure air from the rear-wheel arches. Downforce at the top speed of 202 mph is equal to 794 pounds, almost a third of this car's curb weight.

Where Mercedes-Benz and Porsche have been going back to basics with their sports cars, Ferrari has unashamedly upped the electronics quotient with the Ferrari 458. The revised suspension provides more accurate wheel articulation, and the steering rack ratio has been made quicker--a mere two turns lock-to-lock. To prevent such a quick rack from feeling too darty at speed, the safety systems (stability control, electronic differential, electronically adjustable dampers, ABS and the engine and transmission controls) are all handled by the same master electronic control unit which speeds responses and allows more tailored intervention. For the future, Ferrari is working on even more advanced chassis control systems inspired by the Northrop Grumman B-2 Stealth bomber, where they engineer an unstable but dynamically superior car and rely on electronic intervention to prevent drivers from getting into trouble.

The Drive
Unlike the old automated manual transmission Ferraris, maneuvering this twin-clutch model is easy, with no telltale whiffs of burning clutch. The steering is so sharp you could cut yourself, and it's very easy to overdrive this car in a series of twitching, elbows-out wheel movements. The engine note is hardcore race car and Italians would stand at the side of the road applauding the scarlet coupe trundling past sounding like an Indy 500 entrant. A car for all seasons? Ferrari says it will be up around 10 percent on the outgoing $187,925 F430 model.

Ferrari California 2011

The 2011 Ferrari California handles just as well at the track as it does on long cruises.
The 2011 Ferrari California is unique among other exotic sports cars. Compared to other convertibles, the "California’s retractable hardtop makes it more practical and comfortable" year-round. Granted, this Ferrari does have rivals with more power and better handling, but reviewers like the California’s combination of performance and comfort. "Car shoppers "looking for a more powerful exotic sports car might consider the 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo. The Gallardo lacks theCalifornia’s retractable hardtop and decent cargo capacity, but offers a V10 powerplant with rocket-like performance.

The "Ferrari California" sees no changes for 2011. Starting at $192,000, the Ferrari California comes with a 4.3-liter V8 and either a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic or six-speed manual transmission.
The "Ferrari California" is an exceptionally innovative car whose philosophy takes its inspiration from the spirit and emotions of one of the great Ferraris of the past, the 1957 250 California, a superbly elegant open top car designed for the track, which has, over the years, come to symbolize not only superior sportiness and performance but also exclusivity, craftsmanship and faultless sophistication.

The 2011 California joins Ferrari's 8-cylinder range which is made up mostly of very high performance models. The "Ferrari California" is a car with the track in its DNA. In line with "Ferrari" tradition, this model positively brims with innovative features.

The "California's" sleek aerodynamic styling is, like the rest of the current Ferrari models, the result of their longstanding collaboration with Pininfarina and offers a host of signature Ferrari styling cues. At the rear, the sides and the muscular tail section are both familiar too. Situated between the front seats, the new aluminum-trimmed center console is another distinctive touch that goes beyond the merely aesthetic, beautifully combining functionality and design.
Ferrari's smallest car, the California, gets its name from the original 250 California Spyder, of Ferris Bueller fame.

The California's interior is leather and comes standard with a rear storage shelf, but rear seats are optional. Dual-zone climate control, a navigation system, aluminum accents and power-adjustable seats are standard; among the options are adaptive headlights and heated front seats. Interior features include:
Typical of Ferrari engines — naturally aspirated, with sky-high horsepower per liter — the California's 4.3-liter V-8 makes 453 hp at a howling 7,750 rpm and 357 pounds-feet of torque at 5,000 rpm.

Thanks to the 670 hp engine beneath its bonnet, the SA Aperta beautifully embodies the sporty spirit of the 599, incorporating Ferrari's most advanced technology to deliver absolutely benchmark performance and superb driving pleasure. The virtually endless combinations available guarantee that each and every "SA Aperta" is absolutely unique.

Ferrari 458 Challenge 2011

The Ferrari 458 Challenge also comes equipped with the standard 458’s E-Diff electronic differential, marking the first application in a track-only Ferrari.

Ferrari significantly revamped the 458 Challenge’s suspension for race use, including new solid aluminum bushings, stiffer springs, a 30mm lower ride height and single-rate dampers. All of the 458 Challenge’s added performance is kept in check via Ferrari’s F1-Trac traction control system.

Ferrari has officially unveiled the 458 Challenge racing prototype that will compete in the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli in the 2011 season. As the fifth Ferrari model to be used by the company in its single-series racing program, the Ferrari 458 Challenge takes the reins from the Ferrari 430 Challenge beginning in the 2011 season.

With the departure of the 430 Challenge and the arrival of its 458 counterpart, it signals a changing of the guard in Ferrari’s one-make racing series, one that should make the 458 Challenge the new face of the Ferrari Challenge.

To ensure that the "Ferrari 458 Challenge" is fit and spry for race competition, significant work was done into cutting the car’s weight.

The Ferrari 458 Challenge is also equipped with the E-Diff electronic differential already employed on the production version of the 458, a first for Ferrari’s track-only cars.
Developed exclusively by Ferrari, the system constantly monitors levels of grip for maximum high-performance road-holding.

Knowing what we know, the Ferrari 430 Challenge sold for £185,000 a pop, which was about $300,000. The Ferrari 458 Challenge will compete in the 2011 Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli. Over the years since it began in 1993, the Ferrari Challenge has seen a number of production Ferraris turned into race-spec machines, including the Ferrari 348 Challenge (1993–1995), the Ferrari F355 Challenge (1995–2000), the Ferrari 360 Challenge (2000–2006), and most recently, the Ferrari F430 Challenge (2006-2011).

The new Ferrari 458 Challenge, which will flank the F430 Challenge in the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli in the 2011 season, is the fifth model used by Ferrari in its one-make championship which, next year, will be extended to include a new Asia-Pacific series
The 458 Challenge is also equipped with the E-Diff electronic differential already employed on the road-going version, a first for Ferrari's track-only cars.

Significant work has also gone into cutting the car's weight. The new Ferrari 458 Challenge also has a specific suspension set-up with solid aluminum bushings, stiffer springs, single-rate dampers, center-nut 19" racing rims, larger dimension Pirelli slicks and a ride height lowered by 30mm all round.

Chevrolet Impala 2011

This Chevrolet Impala has been on the road since the 2006 model year and there's no replacement in sight until the 2014 model.Chevy Impala is a large front-wheel drive sedan, one size up from Malibu.

Despite a spacious cabin and comfortable ride, the 2011 Chevrolet Impala is outdone by most competitors. The Chevy Impala's practical strengths contribute to its mainstream appeal: a smooth ride, a quiet cabin, room for up to six, a large trunk and a solid safety record. Not exciting but wholly serviceable, the Chevy Impala is decent transportation for most.

The 2011 Chevy Impala is a full-size four-door sedan offered in three trim levels: base LS, midrange LT and top-drawer LTZ. LS models are equipped with standard 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic headlights, cruise control, keyless entry, air-conditioning, five-passenger seating, six-way power driver seat, tilt-only steering wheel, full power accessories, Constar and a six-speaker CD audio system with satellite radio and auxiliary audio jack.

The top-of-the-line LTZ adds a larger V6 engine, 18-inch alloy wheels, "luxury-tuned" suspension, eight-way power driver seat and the LT's Luxury package content.
The front-wheel-drive Chevrolet Impala LS and LT models include a standard 3.5-liter V6 producing 211 horsepower and 216 pound-feet of torque, while the LTZ is equipped with a 3.9-liter V6 that generates 224 hp and 235 lb-ft of torque.

Both overhead valve engines are mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, while the Chevy Impala's competitors typically offer more sophisticated six-speed automatics. With less power, however, the Chevy Impala manages estimated fuel economy at 19 mpg city/29 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined.

The 2011 Chevrolet Impala performs well in safety testing, and is equipped with standard antilock brakes, traction control, stability control, OnStar telematics, front side-impact airbags and side curtain airbags. In government crash testing, the "Chevy Impala" earned the highest possible five-star rating in frontal and side-impact crash tests.

A quick tour of the Chevy Impala's cabin offers a good illustration of the strengths and weaknesses of its aging design. There's seating for up to six passengers -- something that's increasingly rare in modern sedans -- with the 40/20/40-split front bench that's offered as an option on LS/LT models.

Chevrolet’s front-wheel-drive Chevy Impala brings a classically comfortable ride and big value to the table, but the 2011 model can't compete with the likes of the Ford Taurus, Toyota Avalon or Hyundai Azera in refinement.

The biggest asset in the Chevy Impala's portfolio is the copious interior and cargo room to be found inside. Fuel economy is a credit, too--despite a four-speed transmission, the Chevy Impala can pull 29 mpg in highway driving, according to the EPA.

Chevrolet Camaro 2012

Brake hard. Breathe easy”- is what the Chevrolet Company has to say in favor of its favorite child the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro. In a most recent press release, the General Motors proudly claimed the2012 Camaro as a “high performance vehicle and not just a Camaro with more power”.

Moreover, 2012 Camaro bears a dual-exhaust system, perfectly designed for counter responding the engine rpm and creates a tone that is soothing to ears.

Short pickups to suit the track needs and swift handling for high traffic streets; the new 2012 Camaro has got it all. Adding more on that note, the "2012 Chevrolet Camaro" bears a newly added electric power steering system and Magnetic ride control, offering both tour and sports modes. Forged 20-inch lightweight aluminum alloy wheels and Goodyear 20 inches tires are also exclusively included in the package of the Chevrolet Camaro 2012.

With marvelously sculpted exterior, this car comes with all color variant that the Camaro has to offer. The most noticing part of this upcoming 2012 Chevrolet Camaro is its much renovated unique fascia and front splitters that combine rear diffuser and side rocker extensions.

For 2012, the Chevrolet Camaro sees a number of improvements. The big news for the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro will be burnouts -- lots and lots of burnouts. The new Camaro ZL1 is a fitting homage to the legendary ZL1 high-performance engine option for the 1969 Camaro that was favored among acceleration addicts and bench-racing braggarts.

A six-speed manual transmission is standard, with a six-speed automatic being optional. Although not as glamorous as the mighty ZL1, other Camaro trims get notable updates for 2012. This year's rearview camera helps for parking, but the Camaro's low-profile windows still make it difficult to park and even slightly disconcerting place while cornering at speed. And while backseat comfort is never a prime concern for a coupe, the Camaro's the worst among muscle cars. The "2012 Chevy Camaro" is a four-seat coupe or convertible available in V6-powered 1LS and 2LS (coupe only), 1LT and 2LT trim levels, and V8-powered 1SS and 2SS trim levels. The 1LT adds 18-inch alloy wheels, foglamps and eight-way power seats. The 2SS essentially features the 1SS's performance bits with the 2LT's convenience and luxury features.

The RS package (available on all trims but the LS) adds 20-inch wheels and xenon headlights. A six-speed manual transmission is standard and a six-speed automatic is optional. EPA-estimated fuel economy is 16 mpg city/24 mpg highway and 19 mpg with the manual. Every 2012 Chevy Camaro comes standard with antilock disc brakes, stability control, front-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and OnStar. In Edmunds brake testing, both Camaro V6 and V8 coupes with 20-inch wheels came to a stop from 60 mph in an excellent 111 feet.

More important, the 2012 Camaro has a new steering wheel that's much more ergonomic and comfortable to grip than last year's.

Driving Impressions
The Camaro also displays impressive amounts of cornering grip, communicative steering and a refined suspension that makes this generation of GM's classic GT car exponentially more talented around corners than any Camaro that has come before.

Outside, buyers get black rally stripes that cover the hood, roof decklid and unique spoiler; 20-inch, black-painted wheels; high-performance, summer-only tires; and Autobot logos on front fenders and wheel center caps. Inside," 2012 Chevy Camaro" Transformer Edition cars get black leather seating with contrasting yellow stitching on the seats, instrument panel, center console and armrests.

Chevrolet Equinox 2011

The 2011 Chevrolet Equinox is powered by a responsive V-6 or more economical four-cylinder base engine. Significant chassis upgrades help the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox handle better than any previous model.

There's a retractable cargo cover, stretchy net, and two deep cargo wells in back, and the center console well is very deep. Overall, theChevrolet Equinox is quiet and refined and would make a great highway vehicle for a small family; the ride feels more settled, less pitchy, than former vehicles on this platform—and versus some compact crossover alternatives.

Crash test scores for the Chevrolet Equinox have been stellar, as its safety equipment, and it's been named an IIHS Top Safety Pick. A rear-seat entertainment system, a navigation system, leather seating, heated seats, Bluetooth, steering-wheel audio/phone controls, a sunroof, a rearview camera, and remote start are options.

After last year’s significant and needed improvements to the Equinox, Chevy releases the 2011 model with few new changes. Still doing well in fuel savings thanks to the new engine configurations, the Equinox remains a capable performer that provides a good, capable and comfortable ride no matter which of the two engine choices you choose from. With a starting MSRP of around $23,700, the Chevrolet Equinox is competitively priced within its class. Front wheel drive comes standard on the Chevrolet Equinox, while all wheel drive is available at additional cost. For most people, the 2011 Equinox has more than enough power and capability.
Car Safety Features: Standard traction and stability control, antilock disc brakes, front seat side airbags and side curtain airbags work together to give the 2010 Equinox a perfect five out of five stars in government crash tests and four out of five stars for the rollover rating.

Standard wheel size is 17-inch alloys with an option for a 19-inch alloy wheel upgrade. The Equinox features a one-piece rear liftgate, a single-horizontal-bar grille, raked-forward stance and an overall clean look.

You wouldn’t expect to get much performance out of a I-4 engine in a vehicle as large as the 2011 Equinox, but surprisingly, this engine provides adequate acceleration. Cruising around the city in a 4-cylinder-equipped 2011 Chevrolet Equinox is pleasant. The 2.4-liter 4-cylinder base engine on the 2011 Chevrolet Equinox produces 182 horsepower and 172 pound-feet of torque. The 3.0-liter V6 gets 264 horsepower and 222 pound-feet of torque. There's a whole lot to love about the 2011 Chevrolet Equinox. Like any vehicle, the 2011 Chevrolet Equinox does have its downfalls

Since the Pontiac Torrent and Saturn VUE are now defunct, the Equinox, Terrain, 9-4X and SRX are the only Theta vehicles in America. The 2011 Equinox rides on a longer 112.5 inch wheelbase and benefits from increased interior space over its previous generation. The current generation, which debuted in 2010, features two new direct injected engine options and all Equinox models use a six speed automatic

Our tester was a 2LT with standard front wheel drive and the new, 2.4 liter direct injected DOHC Ecotec four-cylinder. Along with this engine, our Equinox included standard features such as automatic climate control, Pioneer premium eight speaker stereo system with XM radio and MP3 integration, rearview camera, Stabilitrak-stability control, 17 inch alloy wheels and integrated fog lamps. Standard MSRP was $25,970 but our tester featured the optional $1,295 rear seat entertainment system, $495 power lift gate and $800 leather appointed seats. It is not just the seats in the Chevrolet Equinox that create a cozzy interior. Once at highway speed, the Equinox did a fine job at holding steady. Four cylinder Chevrolet Equinox models feature an “Eco Mode” button that manipulates the transmission’s shift patterns in order to increase fuel mileage. “Eco Mode” was partially responsible for our tester’s average fuel mileage of 23 mpg in mixed driving. With comfort and fuel economy checked off the list, the Equinox needs one more plus to become a “triple threat” success story. This Equinox was made to haul around people and it does so very well.

The 2011 Chevrolet Equinox is a very humble vehicle. Competitively priced within its segment, the Equinox does an excellent job at being a mid size crossover SUV.

Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid SUVs 2011

The 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid SUVs. The Tahoe Hybrid is expensive: it starts at about $13,000 more than the conventional Tahoe. The Tahoe Hybrid promises a 25 percent improvement in fuel economy in mixed driving, but because the gas-only Tahoe’s 15/21 mpg fuel economy is so low, hybrid buyers may be less-than-impressed with the Tahoe Hybrid’s 20/23 mpg fuel economy rating.

But, again, if you really need the Tahoe Hybrid, reviewers say you’ll be pleased. The Chevrolet Traverse offers similar seating capacity to the Tahoe Hybrid, and while it can’t match the Tahoe Hybrid’s city fuel economy, it beats its highway numbers. Best of all, it costs about $20,000 less than the Tahoe Hybrid.

Facing and addressing this issue head on, General Motors developed the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid.
As its name implies, the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid is a full-size SUV with a gasoline/electric powertrain to help boost fuel economy. The EPA gives the two-wheel-drive Tahoe Hybrid a 21 mpg city/22 mpg highway fuel economy estimate, with a combined average of 21 mpg. As with most other full hybrid vehicles, the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid can accelerate from a standstill to about 30 mph on electricity alone, a major factor in the Tahoe's increased city fuel economy. The Tahoe Hybrid also has aerodynamic add-ons and low-rolling-resistance tires.

The rest of the Chevy Tahoe Hybrid is largely identical to other, well-equipped Tahoe models. In our reviews of the Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid, we've found that it drives very much like a regular Tahoe. The main downsides to the Tahoe Hybrid, however, are price and absolute fuel economy. Used Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid Models

The Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid is the first full-size SUV to utilize a hybrid drive system and offers 33 percent improved fuel economy compared to the standard Tahoe in city driving.
Based on the Tahoe platform, the "Tahoe Hybrid" simply adds Chevrolet's two-mode hybrid system that allows the SUV to be completed powered by an electric motor at low speeds and a 6.0-liter V8 with Active Fuel Management. EPA fuel economy ratings are listed at 21/22 city/highway for two-wheel drive models and an even 20/20 for Tahoe Hybrids equipped with four-wheel drive.

Mercedes-Benz CL550 2011

2011 Mercedes-Benz CL550 A Behr air-to-water charge cooler is nestled in the aluminum block’s vee, chilling intake air with help from a dedicated coolant circuit. A lower-friction chain drive system for the camshafts reduces parasitic losses and frees up power.

The good: Air suspension and standard all-wheel drive keep the 2011 Mercedes-Benz CL550 composed, while massage seats pamper occupants.

The bottom line: Although expensive, the 2011 Mercedes-Benz CL550comes loaded with cutting-edge tech while delivering an incredibly comfortable ride, but the car needs better tuning for low-speed driving

On a new fuel efficiency kick, Mercedes-Benz replaced that big V-8 with one slightly smaller, bolstering its efficiency with forced air and direct injection. During our time in the CL550, we averaged 18 mpg, and observed the trip computer showing numbers above 22 mpg on freeway cruises. Obviously "Mercedes-Benz "was more interested in power than fuel economy increases.
According to Mercedes-Benz, with this new engine the CL550 hits 60 mph in 4.8 seconds. The Marcedes CL550 is strangely sluggish. Along with this new engine comes a button that toggles the car between Economy and Sport modes. The seven-speed automatic delivers smooth shifts, enhancing the luxury experience.

One little complaint about the "CL550's" suspension is that Mercedes-Benz puts the button to switch it to Sport mode next to the LCD, a difficult place to reach when the car is under way and illogically far away from the Economy/Sport mode button for the power train.

And like the button says, this suspension offers a Sport mode. When engaged, the car does not suddenly become a superstiff low-to-the-ground sports car. The ride stiffens up a little, and the car handles cornering with more ease.

Nicely updated for the "2011 model "year, Mercedes-Benz has addressed the primary quibble I had with the CL-Class, while introducing other improvements to make the car an irresistible package. The 2011 Mercedes-Benz CL-Class is now quite possibly the most beautiful new car on the road . Yeah, Ferraris, Lamborghinis and those other swoopy-ass exotic sports cars turn heads, but they do so because of their sheer audacity. The CL-Class turns heads because of its quiet air of power and style. A seven-speed automatic transmission with a manual shift mode via steering wheel paddles conducts power to all four wheels.

Every comfort, convenience and safety feature currently available is included in the car. Outrageously prodigious at elevated speeds, theCL550 actually lowers itself on the highway to improve its aerodynamics and handling. Turn the steering wheel full lock in either direction and the front wheels articulate practically perpendicularly to the car.

Long story short, the Mercedes-Benz CL550 4Matic is nothing less than a world-class, state of the art luxurious high performance sports coupe.

Mercedes-Benz GLS
